A caravan led by mages journeys westward into the New World, with adventurers and merchants hoping to strike it rich. Meanwhile, back in the capital, Grand Mages present Queen Anne with treasures from the Eagle God's Kingdom, detailing their victory over the Radiant Church. News of this success spreads rapidly, sparking interest from nobles and commoners alike, while the Brolin Kingdom and the Radiant Church react to their losses.

To decide whether to hold Archbishop Telamo accountable—the person may be dead, but his disciples and followers remain; whether to posthumously bestow sainthood and enshrine him in the holy hall was a topic worthy of discussion.

To decide whether to increase military forces in the Storm Islands, for example, whether to send an 18th-level Golden Robe Archbishop, or simply a legendary or quasi-legendary figure.

To decide whether the church should send a large army to attack the City of the Eagle God again, at the very least, to destroy the mage tower at the port.

Golden Robe Archbishops and quasi-legends argued fiercely before the Pope. After all, even though the New World had four governor districts, everyone knew that only the Storm Islands Governor District and the Peru Governor District were profitable.

With the rebellion in Nederland, the independence of the Capet Kingdom, the bankruptcy of the royal family of the Brolin Kingdom, and the secretive actions of three of the seven Electors of the Rhine Kingdom, the income from the Storm Islands Governor District was especially important to the church.

Without a large amount of gold and silver, how could the church sustain the knights?

Without a large amount of gold and silver, how could it secretly support the mages trained by the church and those who had fled?

Without a large amount of gold and silver, how could it win over some nobles to lean towards the church rather than tightly surrounding the royal family?

By selling indulgences?

"The Radiant Lord's majesty must not be desecrated!" A vice-inquisitor of the Inquisition passionately declared:

"Especially that so-called Eagle God, who is said to have usurped some of the powers of the sun, which is a great blasphemy against our God! I suggest sending a legendary figure to lead an army to destroy that nation with the force of thunder!"

"That country has two pseudo-gods." The deputy commander of the Paladins coldly spoke:

"Since the heretical mages have been there, they would not have left without leaving something behind... Conservatively estimated, the pseudo-capital of the Eagle Nation has at least one high-level mage tower and a high-level strongman who can rely on the tower to contend with pseudo-gods."

He lifted his eyelids and coldly glanced at the inquisitor:

"What intelligence does the Inquisition have on the Eagle Nation? The powers of the pseudo-gods? Their strength level? Below the pseudo-gods, how many warriors and spellcasters are there, and how strong are they? How many mages remain in the pseudo-capital, and who is the strongest?"

"The loyal servants of our God suffered heavy losses in this battle." Under the cold stares of his colleagues, the vice-inquisitor replied with a stiff upper lip:

"To know this information, we need to send people to investigate in detail again... The Governor of Bamonde in the Storm Islands has already sent people there, but the information won't come back so quickly."

"The strength of the Eagle Nation should not be too strong." The cardinal in the diocesan system, seated below the Pope, added slowly:

"Otherwise, Brother Telamo should not have had the confidence to win. It was just bad luck that he encountered the cooperation of natives and heretics, which caught him off guard, leading to his martyrdom for our Lord... And now, most of the heretics have already returned with the airship."

"Hmph!"

The deputy commander of the Paladins glared. If an army was sent, it wouldn't be you leading it, would it?

Fighting desperately, it wouldn't be you, would it?

The main force climbing into the jungle, scaling peaks, and fighting through mountains and waters against the bombardment of high-level mage towers and possibly two pseudo-gods of levels 16 or 17, along with countless native warriors, would still be the young knights, right?

"According to the public reports from the Kent Kingdom, the heretical mages gained over a hundred tons of gold in this battle. We have reason to believe they actually took more."

The cardinal adjusted the golden embroidery on his white robe sleeve and continued slowly:

"When the so-called Sun Empire of the natives was destroyed, the gold and silver we obtained were not much more than this. We have reason to believe that most of the treasures of the Eagle Nation have fallen into the hands of the heretics."

Light sighs filled the room. With the treasures gone, the native kingdom was not worth the church's efforts to conquer. The Pope lightly coughed and paused with the gold staff in his hand.

The pigeon-egg-sized diamond at the top of the staff faintly glowed:

"The Radiant Lord's brilliance is boundless. Our Lord is merciful, tolerant, and compassionate. As long as we use sincere hearts to convert them, those lost lambs will eventually return to our Lord's path."

"Amen."

The cardinals bowed their heads in prayer. The Pope said calmly:

"First, send people to stabilize the situation in the governor district. As for future strategies... The rainy season in the Storm Islands is coming soon, and we have plenty of time in the next six months to respond to changing circumstances."

As for whether to fight next?

What a joke. Without sufficient intelligence and benefits, why fight?

At most, the church could give a title and bestow a pioneering order or something similar. There were always wealthy and powerful second sons of nobles, or impoverished nobles with no prospects, willing to spend money and bring people over to seize benefits.

To mobilize the church's main force?

Since the destruction of the Golden Fleet, a new fleet had not yet been built!

"Build ships! Build ships!"

The gold brought by the airship was spent lavishly. It was spent on dwarves, barbarians, and Nederlanders:

"Buy all kinds of resources! Oak for keels, teak for masts, pine and cedar for decks! As long as they meet the requirements, we want it all!"

"Buy steel! Buy coal! Buy all kinds of ores! We'll take as much as you bring! We'll pay in cash! We'll pay in gold! If it's inconvenient to take coins, we can directly pay in gold bars!"

"Buy flax, sisal, and cotton yarn! Rubber too! Unlimited purchases!"

Gold coins and silver coins fell into people's eyes and stuck there. Having just finished a war, the impoverished and desperate Nederlanders, promised large orders by the parliament, braved the wind and waves, dodged warships, and went everywhere to do business:

To the Black Gate Peninsula!

To the Great Wasteland!

To the Rhine Kingdom!

To the Capet Kingdom, secretly bribing to the Brolin Kingdom. These sea carriage drivers even sailed to the southern Black Continent.

There, the best teak is produced, hard and wear-resistant, anti-corrosive, non-warping, non-cracking; resistant to termite infestation, resistant to marine borers in different seas. A ship made of teak, even without divine reinforcement, could last thirty to fifty years!

There, numerous gems are produced. Rubies, sapphires, diamonds—various gems that can dazzle the eye.

There, all sorts of animal products are produced. If one ventures inland, herds of wild animals roam the grasslands—ivory, beast crystals, beast bones, everything.

"You pay too little!"

Under heavy pressure, even Baron Perry Hayes, a merchant, personally went to Nevis to negotiate business.

Facing the parliament's long purchase list, he exerted his best haggling skills, gesticulating and spitting:

"You must know, we risk our lives for these goods! If discovered by the church's patrol fleet, it means immediate death! Even reaching the Black Continent, a single trip could cost one or two lives..."

Even without going ashore, staying at the river mouth, the death rate was high. Knights and physically strong warriors might manage, but ordinary warriors and sailors would start to get fever, headaches, and chills after a while—some could recover, while others would vomit blood and die.

"We know, we know. The plague on the Black Continent is indeed severe and troublesome." The parliament's negotiator smiled slightly and handed over a journal and a quotation list:

"Our Plague Lord, Mage Garrett Nordmark—you know his name, the one who cured the Earl of Ostend's eldest son—has deciphered the cause of the Black Continent's plague. The article just came out, take a look..."

He diligently flipped the journal to Garrett's article and pushed it in front of Baron Hayes. After patiently waiting for him to finish reading, he pushed the quotation list forward:

"To prevent the plague, you only need to repel mosquitoes! We have a mosquito repellent package! Bracelets, pendants, belts, clothes... You can also carve magic arrays on the ship! All prices are on this list!"

Baron Hayes felt a bit dizzy. A belt for 2,000 gold coins, a bracelet for 3,000 gold coins, buying more could get a discount?

"It feels like... we risk our lives for a ship's trip, but make little money, and it's all taken by you!—Is there anything cheaper?"

"Yes, yes, yes!—These are talismans from the Eagle Nation, imbued with their Serpent God's power, which can repel mosquitoes for a certain period!" The parliament's mage diligently pushed another box over:

"However, the duration is relatively short, lasting about three months, each costing 50 gold coins... enough for a round trip to the Black Continent!"

Heaven knows, to make these talismans, the parliament's mages scraped the outer and inner walls of the Serpent God's pyramid and the snake

women's residences, stripping them to the bare bones.

They brought them back, cut them into pieces, and embedded each piece into a copper pendant holder. After adding activation runes to trigger the remaining power inside, it was done!

And the Eagle God's pyramid, with its powerful light magic, must also be scraped for a layer to think about how to use it.

Anyway, the Eagle Nation owed the parliament a huge debt!

Fifty gold coins for three months, this price was still acceptable—especially since buying in bulk could get a discount. Baron Hayes swept enough talismans for ten ships and asked hopefully:

"Is there anything cheaper?"

"That... maybe in the future..." The mage glanced sideways at the journal on the table.

Internal rumors said that Mage Nordmark had built a research institute in the New World to study methods for preventing various infectious diseases—vaccines and such—by hiring a group of necromancers as assistants.

Currently, a group from the plague branch had already set off, but no one knew when results would be available:

"Even if there are, it won't be soon, at least a year or two... And they would be supplied to the New World first, who knows how long before they reach us..."
