Previously on A Cunning Pervert in the Cultivation World...
Li Feng used the last of his energy to launch a devastating final attack, fueled by sacrificed stars, which annihilated the calamity. As the dust settled, Yue Lan's ice phoenix powers returned, and her Ice Phoenix form had fully manifested. Li Feng received a system notification that he had passed Yue Lan's First Calamity. Meanwhile, Goldie received a mysterious message about fulfilling its divine duty.
The secret realm was now utterly desolate, with only Li Feng and Yue Lan remaining after some time had passed.
[Reward Compiling...]
"Hmm... how long is this going to take?" Li Feng mumbled, finding comfort as he rested his head on the soft pillow of Yue Lan’s thigh.
He felt as though he had ascended to paradise in that moment. The incredibly soft flesh beneath his cheek served as the perfect natural cushion, while he gently inhaled her cool, icy, refreshing scent – reminiscent of a gentle spring breeze carrying faint floral notes.
It appeared her body had undergone subtle transformations following her rebirth, a change Li Feng could already perceive clearly.
From above, Yue Lan looked down, intrigued by his muttering. Yet, as her gaze settled on his face, a peculiar curiosity began to bloom within her. It was strange. Though she already knew Li Feng’s appearance, the longer she observed him, the more new details she discovered – subtle aspects that felt uniquely fresh and captivating.
Almost unthinkingly, she reached down, her fingers beginning to caress his face. Her slender digits traced from his cheek to his brow, then slowly moved along the bridge of his nose, examining each feature with silent fascination.
Meanwhile, Li Feng simply offered a contented smile, relishing the tender touch. After all he had endured, he felt he had more than earned this moment of tranquility. Still, a gnawing impatience persisted as he had been waiting for the system’s reward for quite some time.
He then attempted to contact the system within his mind. ’System, what’s taking so long?’
To his surprise, there was no response, as if the system had simply vanished. ’Don’t tell me it actually went to grab the reward…?’ A comical expression flickered across his face at the absurd mental image of the system struggling to haul some massive prize from a storage dimension.
’Well, if it’s taking this long, the reward must be something truly substantial.’ Li Feng grinned, then lifted his eyes to the breathtaking visage above him. No words could adequately describe the perfection of that beautiful face.
Now that the ordeal had concluded and peace had returned, his heart pounded with a surge of desire. But then he remembered his own physical limitations. He still couldn’t move with freedom. His body was completely depleted after that final devastating strike, leaving him with only a quiet sense of frustration, prompting him to click his tongue.
With a soft sigh, he sank his head deeper into her yielding lap, allowing himself to relax. ’Well… this isn’t too bad.’ He closed his eyes, murmuring to himself.
Slowly, Li Feng began to retrace the events that had transpired – from the mysterious voice, through the calamity, and the matter of the Divine Blood. He opened his eyes once more, lost in deep contemplation.
Truthfully, he wasn’t entirely confident that the Ruler of the Stars could handle the False Cultivators. He had even summoned Goldie as a contingency, as the precognitive vision mentioned the necessity of Divine Authority, which he had presumed referred to Goldie’s divine power.
In the end, however, it appeared that power hadn’t been required. The Ruler of the Stars was simply that formidable. Although he lacked complete understanding of what it entailed in that state, he knew one certainty: its power was immense enough to annihilate all concepts themselves. Even the so-called immortality possessed by those monstrous entities was not exempt.
Naturally, such absolute destruction would only be achievable under a specific condition – a single, decisive strike that impacted all its manifestations simultaneously. Fortunately, the tower had served to contain the calamity, enabling Li Feng to obliterate everything along with the structure itself.
The only drawbacks to this formidable ability were its extremely limited duration and the impractical one-month cooldown period. Li Feng let out another soft sigh as he checked the cooldown timer in his mind.
’It seems I called Goldie here unnecessarily.’ Now that he was thinking of Goldie, Li Feng blinked and surveyed his surroundings. It was only then that he noticed Goldie standing a short distance away and something peculiar caught his eye.
"Hmm? What’s wrong—" Before he could complete his question, the entire secret realm began to shake violently.
"What?" Li Feng’s eyes widened as numerous cracks spiderwebbed across the air, as if the fabric of reality itself had been rent asunder. Following this, a viscous black liquid started to seep from the fractures.
"...You’ve got to be kidding me." He was certain that he had already annihilated that entity. "How is this possible—"
"It’s merely a remnant of the Black Sea," Yue Lan murmured softly from her position above him.
Li Feng glanced up at her. "Eh? You know something about this, Senior Sister?"
Yue Lan paused, seemingly organizing her thoughts, before emitting a quiet sigh. "I’m not entirely certain, but some residual memories have suddenly surfaced." She looked down at him and gently cupped his cheek. "There’s no need for concern. You’ve already extinguished the will that commanded the Black Sea. What remains is naught but an uncontrolled echo..."
With a sigh of relief, Li Feng's momentary calm was shattered as Yue Lan continued her explanation.
"...However, now that it's no longer under anyone's command, it will revert to its primal instinct... to drown everything in its path."
Yue Lan's gaze swept over the ominous black liquid that was now spewing forth from both the heavens and the earth.
"It's highly probable that this secret realm will be completely submerged... and then utterly annihilated."
A slight frown creased Li Feng's brow, but a sense of ease soon washed over his features.
After all, he possessed the Divine Brick. Even if the secret realm were to crumble into dust, he would remain perfectly safe within its confines.
Yet, he couldn't help but notice the undertone of concern in Yue Lan's voice.
"Is there something more?"
Yue Lan paused for a beat, then let out another sigh.
"This secret realm was actually constructed as a specialized containment facility for the entirety of the Black Ocean. Once it is destroyed... the inundation will not cease. It will persist in its expansion into the outside world, engulfing all that lies before it."
A complex swirl of emotions flickered across her face.
"Countless calamities, widespread disasters, and immense loss of life will befall the surrounding regions. It will continue its relentless spread until nothing remains to be consumed."
Upon hearing such a dire prophecy, Li Feng merely offered an internal shrug.
'Well, that's no longer my problem.'
His quest was considered complete the moment he assisted Yue Lan in navigating her ordeal.
Whatever subsequent events transpired were outside his purview.
Naturally, he felt a twinge of sympathy for those who would face hardship, but he certainly wasn't a savior.
Furthermore, he had genuinely exerted himself to the utmost and had nothing more to give.
'Let the influential figures handle it.'
The Five Major Sects would undoubtedly intervene to prevent such a catastrophic event from encroaching upon their territories.
There were surely formidable ancient cultivators among them capable of resolving the crisis.
Despite these thoughts, Li Feng adopted a grave expression outwardly and addressed Yue Lan.
"I understand... However, there is little we can do, Senior Sister. This burden should be left to the elders of the sect."
Yue Lan responded with a simple nod and a soft sigh.
Indeed, their current standing left them powerless to avert such a disaster.
Observing that she had no intention of attempting a suicidal act to halt the deluge, Li Feng experienced a surge of relief.
Had she harbored such a plan, he would have been compelled to incapacitate her and spirit her away into the Divine Brick.
After all the trials he had endured, under no circumstances would he permit her to perish again.
Abruptly, the situation escalated dramatically.
An even greater volume of black water surged forth from the fractured ground, resembling a furious tempest.
The entirety of the secret realm had already descended into darkness and was succumbing to the rising floodwaters.
However, Li Feng displayed no outward signs of distress.
He simply offered a reassuring smile and gently consoled Yue Lan.
"And there's no need for you to fret about our safety, Senior Sister. I possess a method to emerge from this unscathed. Hey there, Divine Brick, teleport us inside."
Once comfortably situated within the Divine Brick, Li Feng intended to address the matter of the disciples currently residing there.
He would enforce a solemn oath upon them, compelling them to maintain absolute silence regarding the miraculous treasure and the expansive interior it contained.
After all, he had just preserved their lives, so such a request was hardly unreasonable.
Of course, he acknowledged that this was not an infallible strategy.
Secrets possessed a tendency to escape, regardless of how tightly they were guarded, and he had already factored this potentiality into his considerations.
If the intelligence were to be disseminated, then so be it.
Should some fool still dare to attempt pilfering the treasure from him, then let them proceed.
He would simply relieve them of their own possessions in retaliation.
He was confident that the sect would not object... after all, it would be nothing more than a matter of "self-defense."
And after managing all of that... if any time remained, he wouldn't object to spending some cherished moments in bed with Yue Lan.
He eagerly anticipated experiencing the physical form of the Divine Phoenix's inheritor.
Just as a lewd grin began to stretch across his face at these very thoughts, Li Feng blinked in bewilderment.
...There was no discernible response from the Divine Brick.
"Divine Brick...?"
He turned his attention towards the hovering artifact and noted that it appeared to be fixatedly observing something.
Following its unwavering gaze, he perceived that Goldie was now positioned right beside them.
"Goldie? I had almost forgotten about you. Haha, come on. Let's make a swift exit from this place!"
