100\% DROP RATE : Why is My Inventory Always so Full? Chapter 745 - Pets

Meanwhile, Lucien had continued distributing the Fruits of Creation.
This time, the recipients were different.
His pets.
The decision had not been difficult.
When the coming war finally arrived, Lucien already knew which forces would remain closest to him regardless of how chaotic the battlefield became.
His pets were bound to him more deeply than ordinary soldiers or allies.
He could feel them through their connection.
Their intentions, condition, and presence were familiar enough that coordinating with them required almost no explanation.
More importantly, they were strong.
Some had already grown into monsters that would have terrified entire nations only a few years ago.
And among them, Skittles remained particularly unreasonable.
Six Laws.
Lucien still found that ridiculous whenever he thought about it seriously.
Against ordinary enemies, that already made Skittles troublesome.
Against Primordial Incarnations, it could become much worse.
Suppressing one Law would not necessarily suppress the other five.
Interfering with one route of authority merely gave Skittles several more directions from which to become someone else’s problem.
Lucien could already imagine an enemy Primordial Incarnation realizing that the colorful slime in front of it was not comic relief only after the third failed attempt to suppress it.
The thought improved his mood considerably.
•••
The pets that had already reached the necessary level had also hidden their names from the universe.
That had become standard practice among Eternals.
Their true identities remained recognized by the universe, but the lawful coordinates attached to those identities were concealed from anyone trying to reach them through hostile authority.
The world therefore relied increasingly on titles.
Skittles had suffered absolutely no shortage of those.
The Sage of Six Paths remained the title Lucien personally found most amusing.
Others preferred the Great Sage.
Among ordinary citizens, adventurers, and the increasingly enthusiastic followers of slime related faith, Rainbow Slime Lord remained the most common.
Skittles accepted all three without complaint.
Lucien suspected it considered having multiple titles a completely natural consequence of greatness.
The other pets were beginning to accumulate titles of their own as well.
Some came from battlefield records.
Others came from soldiers who had fought beside them.
A few had spread simply because ordinary people needed something easier to remember than the increasingly complicated classification of what certain monsters had become.
Lucien did not interfere.
Titles created by people usually lasted longer than titles created by administrators.
As long as nobody began adding seventeen honorifics to every formal report, he was willing to tolerate it.
•••
The Fruits of Creation changed them quickly.
Not recklessly.
Lucien had learned enough by now to avoid treating the fruits like ordinary advancement resources.
Each fruit interacted differently with the recipient.
It did not simply pour more energy into them.
It strengthened what was already there.
Identity. Potential. Law. Constitution. The direction that a living being had already begun taking.
For the pets, that effect was especially interesting.
Their growth had always depended heavily on evolution.
Species limits mattered.
Bloodline mattered.
Environment mattered.
The strange circumstances of Lootwell mattered even more.
The Fruits of Creation gave those evolutionary paths room to deepen without forcing them into shapes that did not belong to them.
Lucien watched every recipient carefully.
Thankfully, his pets adapted fast.
Their presences grew denser.
Their Laws became cleaner.
Several bloodlines underwent subtle changes Lucien would need months to study properly.
•••
Unfortunately, the Tree of Creation eventually became bare again.
Lucien stood beneath its immense branches inside his Divine Energy Core and stared upward.
Leaves shimmered with the Laws connected to him.
Divine energy moved through the vast trunk.
The tree itself remained healthy.
But the places where Fruits of Creation had once hung were empty.
Lucien sighed.
The Tree had produced more fruits than he once would have believed possible.
That did not mean it could produce them endlessly.
It needed more of itself.
More bark.
More traces of the ancient Tree of Creation scattered somewhere beyond the Big World.
And finding those had proven far more difficult than Lucien hoped.
•••
Seran had been helping with the search for months.
They had records, old clues, and creation resonance.
Unfortunately, none of it had produced another confirmed location.
The universe was simply too large.
Even knowing that Tree of Creation bark existed somewhere did not mean finding it among countless planets, dead worlds, drifting ruins, isolated planes, and territories that had never appeared on any modern map.
Eventually, Lucien stopped treating the search as something Seran and a few specialists could handle whenever they had spare time.
He created a dedicated division for it.
Their assignment was simple to describe and unpleasantly difficult to accomplish.
Explore the void.
Locate planets, ruins, and worlds carrying traces of Creation.
Confirm whether those traces came from the Tree.
Return alive.
Lucien considered the last requirement particularly important.
•••
He did not send them into the void with ordinary transportation.
Each exploration team received a Voidcraft capable of sustained high speed travel through regions where conventional vessels would have struggled.
They were built for endurance rather than comfort.
Lucien also gave every member more Instant Return Talisman.
If something catastrophic appeared, they were not expected to prove their bravery.
They were expected to leave.
The Black Mass was already moving through regions beyond the Big World.
Primordial entities existed.
Void born creatures existed.
Ancient ruins occasionally contained things that had survived specifically because everyone sensible had refused to approach them.
No piece of bark was worth losing an entire expedition.
Lucien made that clear.
•••
He also crafted something specifically for the search.
A locator.
It was not powerful enough to point directly toward the Tree of Creation across the universe.
Lucien wished it were.
Instead, the device detected traces associated with Creation authority.
That narrowed the problem considerably.
Old Creation artifacts.
Abandoned worlds shaped by Creation aligned Laws.
Remnants of unusual life generating phenomena.
Fragments of ancient divine materials.
Anything carrying enough compatible resonance could cause a response.
The explorers would still encounter false positives.
Probably many.
But they were no longer blindly crossing the void and hoping to accidentally find one of the rarest materials in existence.
That was progress.
The teams had already departed.
So far, Lucien had received reports about several interesting worlds, two unusual Creation aligned ruins, one planet filled with organisms that reproduced through crystalline budding, and absolutely no Tree of Creation bark.
Lucien accepted that.
The universe was large.
He needed time.
Time remained the one resource the approaching war refused to promise him.
