100\% DROP RATE : Why is My Inventory Always so Full? Chapter 704 - Invitation
Previously on 100\% DROP RATE : Why is My Inventory Always so Full?...
The first several days were devoted almost entirely to materials.
That alone became a logistical war.
Kael stared at the first consolidated estimate.
Then he stared at it again.
His expression slowly became painful.
"The World Fortification Network just finished."
Lucien said nothing.
Kael pointed at the numbers.
"We just finished paying for all the extra materials we were missing."
Lucien still said nothing.
Kael looked at him.
Lucien smiled carefully.
Kael almost screamed.
Fortunately, he recovered before suffering permanent damage.
This project was not a luxury.
Everyone involved understood that.
The entire purpose was preparing the Thousand Races for threats that could not be handled by ordinary training.
That made the expense easier to accept.
Kael immediately returned to what he did best.
Negotiating.
Lootwell’s allied factions were contacted.
Long-term suppliers were activated.
Trade agreements were adjusted.
Some factions contributed materials directly.
Others offered discounted rates.
Kael negotiated everything until the burden became manageable.
He could not build suppression arrays or stabilize battlefield impressions.
But he could make sure the people doing those things actually had materials.
That made him just as important as anyone standing in the construction zone.
Lucien wisely did not tell him that while Kael was still staring at the expense reports.
•••
Once enough materials accumulated, actual construction began.
The markings left by the elemental spirits proved invaluable.
The enormous preserved region had already been divided clearly.
Safe routes were visible.
Restricted areas were identified.
Future facilities had their boundaries established.
No one needed to waste the first weeks simply deciding where to work.
On the first morning, thousands of people moved toward their assigned sectors.
Lilith stood above the central construction district with several projections floating around her.
Orders passed through the Grace System.
Material requests appeared.
Progress reports updated.
Problems were redirected toward the appropriate specialists.
There was no need for people to run across half the region looking for someone.
The entire project moved like one enormous coordinated machine.
The Authority Resistance Fields began first.
Anvil-Horn’s teams excavated enormous foundation circles.
The Alloykins reinforced the internal metal networks.
Lithren specialists selected minerals capable of carrying repeated Law pressure without distorting.
Lucien’s formation teams installed the first suppression-control layers underneath them.
Eirene personally inspected the calibration.
The Silent Monastery then added emergency disengagement structures.
If suppression ever exceeded the intended threshold, the entire field could collapse safely instead of trapping someone inside.
Nearby, construction began on the Clear Mind Halls.
Those looked almost peaceful from the outside.
Quiet courtyards. Low buildings. Water channels. Meditation chambers.
The unpleasant parts were hidden underneath.
Mental-pressure arrays. False sensory environments. Foreign-intent simulators. Emergency purification systems.
Seraphine’s restorative stations would eventually surround the entire district.
Farther away, the Loss Condition Zones became considerably stranger.
Some structures contained rotating Law restrictions.
Others could disrupt selected senses.
Several could interfere with weapon access.
One trial zone contained shifting walls designed to separate teams unexpectedly.
Deadman inspected that area and approved far too quickly.
Lucien chose not to ask what additional ideas he had.
The Extraction Trial sectors used natural ruins whenever possible.
Collapsed settlements became rescue zones.
Broken bridges became evacuation challenges.
Unstable valleys became timed withdrawal routes.
Nothing valuable about the ancient terrain was wasted.
The Interweaving Grounds required the most monitoring systems.
Every Law combination needed to be recorded.
Pressure levels had to be adjustable.
Unsafe interactions needed automatic shutdowns.
The Grandmaster practically lived there once construction began.
Researchers followed him everywhere.
Lucien suspected some of them had forgotten that sleeping was necessary.
•••
The elemental spirits became unofficial couriers almost immediately.
At first, workers only asked them to carry small things.
A tool.
A message.
A missing component.
Then everyone realized how useful they were.
Wind spirits carried lightweight materials between distant sites.
Earth spirits moved stone without damaging the terrain.
Water spirits transported liquids and cooling materials.
Fire spirits helped maintain forging temperatures.
The spirits loved it.
Perhaps too much.
Lucien once watched six wind spirits race across the construction site because someone had requested a single measuring rod.
Only one was needed.
All six wanted to deliver it.
The worker received the rod surrounded by extremely proud spirits.
After that, people became much more careful with requests.
The four queens never stopped monitoring them.
Training continued even during construction.
The spirits learned coordination, responsibility, communication, judgment, and occasionally restraint.
Lucien found himself enjoying the construction more than he expected.
Different races worked beside each other.
Monks argued with craftsmen.
Researchers chased unusual formation readings.
Spirits carried materials through the sky.
Lunarians calibrated suppression arrays beside Celestials.
Alloykins and Lithrens debated minerals while standing inside half-finished structures.
The preserved battlefield had spent thousands of years almost untouched.
Now it echoed with hammering, formations, arguments, laughter, and the constant movement of people building something together.
•••
By the end of the first major construction phase, the foundations of nearly every important district had been established.
No complete facility was active yet.
That came later.
But the skeleton existed.
The safe network connected the major sectors.
The first formation anchors were buried.
The main pressure districts had foundations.
The Clear Mind Halls had begun taking shape.
The battlefield simulation zones had been partitioned.
The preserved impressions remained stable.
That last part mattered most.
Lucien floated above the region near sunset.
Below him, formation lights stretched across the land like newly drawn constellations.
They did not erase the old battlefield.
They carefully moved around it.
Marie appeared beside him.
"The land is accepting it."
Lucien looked toward her.
That was perhaps the best report he had received all week.
He returned his gaze to the region.
This place had preserved the memory of destruction for thousands of years.
Now thousands of people were carefully adding something new to it.
•••
Lucien looked over the latest construction reports once more.
The groundwork was progressing smoothly.
There was still a long way to go, especially with the final authority layering that he would need to handle personally.
But the project had reached the point where secrecy was no longer useful.
Too many factions would need time to prepare.
Too many people would want to travel.
And if the entire purpose was to gather the Thousand Races in one place, then the invitation had to come early.
Lucien leaned back.
It was time.
He took out his communication device and opened the official Lootwell channel.
For a moment, he simply stared at the empty announcement field.
Then he began typing.
A few lines appeared.
Lucien read them once, changed two words, read them again, then pressed send.
...
Across the five continents, communication devices lit up almost simultaneously.
[Lootwell Official Announcement.]
The message opened.
Then the invitation appeared.
[Lootwell Grand Intercontinental Competition]
[In three months, Lootwell will open a new large-scale competition in the Middle Continent.]
[Participants from all races, factions, territories, and independent backgrounds are welcome.]
[The competition will include individual trials, team events, Law Interweaver challenges, survival exercises, large-scale battlefield events, and special rankings.]
[Additional facilities, training districts, event privileges, and rewards will also be available to registered attendees.]
[Further details regarding qualifications, schedules, registration, and rewards will be released soon.]
[Prepare well.]
For several seconds, the five continents seemed unusually quiet.
Then the message spread.
Within minutes, the same thought began spreading across the five continents.
Lootwell was about to host something enormous.
And this time, everyone had been invited.
