A Legendary Voice for the Divine Dragon Volcanica
The sprawling epic of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- continues to expand its vocal roster with the high-profile casting of Daisuke Ono. Announced following the release of Episode 83, Ono will lend his commanding voice to Volcanica, the Divine Dragon. This character holds immense weight within the series' lore, being one of the three legendary figures who sealed the Witch of Envy centuries ago. The introduction of Volcanica in the current arc signals a significant shift in the narrative stakes, as the cast navigates the perilous challenges of the Pleiades Watchtower.
Daisuke Ono is a veteran of the industry, widely recognized for his roles as Jotaro Kujo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Erwin Smith in Attack on Titan. His ability to portray authoritative and ancient beings makes him a fitting choice for a dragon that has watched over the kingdom of Lugunica for generations. To celebrate the milestone of reaching Season 4, the production also released a special lyric video for the song "Recollect" by Konomi Suzuki featuring Ashnikko. The video serves as a poignant retrospective, bridging the emotional journey from the very first episode to the high-intensity conflicts of the present day.
The Strategic Brilliance of Victoria Returns for Season Two
Fans of tactical wit and social maneuvering have reason to celebrate as the production of a second season for Victoria of Many Faces (Tefuda ga Oome no Victoria) has been officially confirmed. The announcement came immediately following the airing of the ninth and final episode of the first season, catching many viewers by surprise with the speed of the renewal. Alongside the new season, a special episode is also in development, promising to bridge the gap between the initial introduction of Victoria’s world and the upcoming challenges she will face in her quest for justice and survival.
The series has carved out a unique niche in the fantasy landscape by focusing on a protagonist who relies on her intellect and a literal "hand of cards" rather than brute magical force. The first season focused on Victoria establishing her presence and navigating the treacherous waters of noble society while hiding her true multifaceted nature. With a second season greenlit, the narrative is expected to delve deeper into the political conspiracies that define the setting, offering more of the high-stakes mental games that have become the show's signature. The swift transition into new production suggests a high level of confidence in the property's growing popularity.
